Thankful

Going to try to be thankful everyday for at least one thing, realizing today after getting familiar with this forum and meeting others who are suffering too, that I have a whole lot to be thankful for where the A is concerned.
I am thankful that it is over, that he ended it and we're not fighting that battle of her or me.
I am thankful they only had sex one time, and I'm oh so thankful that I know this to be true.
I am thankful that no child was conceived of this A.
I am thankful she doesn't live around here.
I am thankful he doesn't work with her.
I am thankful that although he didn't come out with the words straight out and confess, he laid the evidence in front of me and was honest when I confronted him because he wanted out and just didn't know how.  I am thankful he wanted out, wanted me, and not the opposite, that he wanted caught so he could go to her.
I am thankful that no police were involved! LOL, sounds funny to say that but after reading someones post yesterday, I realized I had that to be thankful for that  too.  God bless her, I say a little prayer now, I don't remember who she was, I read so many, but God does, and I hope she heals.
I am thankful that while we do have our own family dramas and crisis, with teenagers, siblings etc, that at least we don't have the turmoil of dealing with exes or visitations or any of that headache and heartache.
I am thankful that he is remorseful.
I am thankful that he has apologized over and over and seems to mean it.
I am thankful that he painstakingly answered all my questions honestly even though it was hard.
I am thankful that even though we both have tempers and in the past have been yellers, that things didn't go that route this time.
I am thankful that even though he is dealing with his guilt and shame, and has been frustrated with me at times, that he has not expressed it in anger, which before was always his go-to emotion.
I am thankful that while we both know that things were wrong before the A and that we were on the wrong path, he accepts responsibility for the actual A.
I am thankful that although it may have felt great at the time, that I held my baser instincts in check.    AHHHHH Carrie,,,,,,,," I took a louisville slugger to both headlights"  ,,,,I do however enjoy belting that song at the top of my lungs, lol.
I am thankful that JR, my husband, the most impatient person I've known for the last 21 years, has been in training really for the last 3 years and is learning patience and has been patient with me.
I am thankful that he tells me he loves me 100 times a day, and sounds sincere, not the automatic response you throw out the door on your way to work.
I am thankful he touches me again.  my hair, my neck, the small of my back, just touching.
So today I am thankful that I found this site, that I found others who at varying degrees are going through the same things, feeling the same things, that I am.  Some people who are dealing with more, some who are dealing with less than I am, but who are all working towards a goal of healing, and giving support while doing it.  I am thankful to see others who are farther down the path and can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I am thankful for Hope.
