Thank You God for the great day yesterday!
David's Confirmation was yesterday. 1st and foremost, in spite of the stress, I did not have a panic attack yesterday. I felt pretty good all day. Day 1 of no Xanax! It continues to tell me that this may have a lot to do with hormones. TOM was over yesterday. And like I said before, I could start having a panic attack now just laying in bed or sitting watching tv? I am trying to reduce my caffeine as well. I say this as I sit here drinking a cup of coffee. Still a little concerned about the reduced appetite and the stomach issues.
We thought we were late to the church and ended up an hour early! I was so afraid that I could get panicky at the church sitting there for so long, but I was fine. Thank you God! It was nice, but very long. 101 kids! And the bishop has to bless every one individually. All the cooking and cleaning! Going to relax today but will try to get to Zumba later. Small but nice family party afterwards. My SIL and BIL came. Fran is Paul's sister and David's Godmother and we chose her husband Richie to be David's sponsor for Confirmation. Our friend Reid came. He was our best man at our wedding and also David's Godfather. He also was adopted so he talks to David about things. My Mom came. My sister Annette and her boyfriend JJ and my niece Gina came for a short while. Very nice. Our cousins from NJ came with her 2 kids and Uncle Bill. My Aunt Carol came. (My favorite Aunt.) :-) She is the one I always go to Penn State with and the one who lived with me for a while after Hurricane Katrina.
I was a little sad that our friends did not come and did not even respond (the ones I mentioned about a week ago or so who did the sleepover when David went to buy the pot.) They are also Catholic.
The house looked good, not great, but better. Got the dining room all cleaned up. After a huge blow up in the AM about how he did not want a party, David was really great and was a big help. the one downer- my new light fixture in my kitchen broke. Apparently maybe the transformer burnt out? Only been up a few months! So now my kitchen is dark! Ugh!
Pouring rain all day today. Going to just relax, watch a movie, read a book, enjoy the day. I need to focus this week on getting back to my exercises again.
