Thank you, Friends and Lord...but, now what?
First, again, my thanks for all who prayed for my Mom, Zotz, our kitty, my family and me, too...it really helped us all pass those hurdles! :>) Mom has been out of the hospital since Wednesday...still in a lot of general pain + having a hard time w/digestion (of course), bathing, back pain (there's a hematoma on her lower coxyx) and depression. So glad to have her home, but just so sorry that nothing @ home changed while she was gone. Thought Dad would've finished the back bathroom for sure, for her, as this is the 3rd time in 2 years that she's been incapacitated...but, he only sees his recent physical diagnoses, it seems + keeps bringing up, "What's the point?" Right after surgery, this is really dragging on my mom...now, she is re-worrying about his mental/physical state, as well as her own...I can't provide any proper lift, in either case... Zotz is much, much better and zippier...so far, so good...he has been sharing the room w/Angeline, as he's been recovering. Really isn't room for 2 kitties, but except for sharing the windowsill, there have been no horrible blow-ups of any kind...am very relieved, so far. Trouble is, now something is really, really wrong w/Angeline...her back has been more bowed than usu. + she isn't able to properly clean her hindquarters. My gentle attempts to help her have been met w/scratches and bite-attempts...know she is in a lot of pain...plus, the vet trip, 1 wk back, confirmed that her renal system is in serious shape, all of a sudden. Have been giving her moderate food amts. + continual water + cleaning the litter boxes 3X/day...she is just so listless and "hops" almost on her hind legs, like they won't flex. Much as I hated to, 'cause I had no time off, Mom arr. for Dad & Sis to take her, back and forth, to the vet for a 3-day renal testing period. In the meantime, vet recomm. glucosamine in tiny amts for her back. Sort of helps, but not fully...I don't know. She was a stray & I've had her for 10 years, come May + she was at least a year old when I adopted her...could her time be up? Have to face it, if her renal system is going to continue to deteriorate...this really got Mom down, too, as Angeline is her fave kitty... Work has been a drill...not improving + all of my calls are too long + today, I broke co. rules and put in an order for a person who had a speech impediment and had a hard time being understood...bad circle that they couldn't change their password, as they'd never placed an order w/a credit card, for act. security...on the other hand, couldn't use the credit card, until they passed security w/a password...I could help w/the latter, but not the former. Person kept pleading w/me to please do it for them, so I finally relented and got my wrist slapped. I am not sorry I helped this person put in and confirm an order for them, but was sorry that the co. slapped my wrist...esp. as it's a person I go to for a lot of help, who is a peach of a good person to work with...her recommend. was that I should've started a new account for this person, fr. scratch...but, hey, doesn't that take a password and a credit card? I'm thinking about it, now, and I see that I'm right back where I started...I don't know...things are so bad, just now, and I really need this job--they're retraining me, tomorrow, for a sub-group--but I just don't feel me staying past Christmas, if I can hold out, till then...will keep looking, but I am feeling so burned out... Take care & God Bless all of you, no matter where, no matter when...
