Thank Goodness There Are Friends!!!!

Today I went to Gateway's Hair Salon with my girlfriend to get my first pedicure and my first manicure.  I loved it.  I was really nervous.  However, once I got past my nerves I was fine.  The girl that worked on me was wonderful.  Her name is Lindsey.  She seemed so concerned about how I was treated and how I felt.  It was just a wonderful experience.  Then on top of it I did it with my best friend, Melissa.  I wanted to get a french manicure.  However, I can't wear any nail polish or makeup on the day of my surgery.  So I just got a top clear coat put on.  This way I don't have to worry about taking it off and I can still try to look pretty.  Afterwards we took her husband lunch.  Thank goodness I had my seat belt on.  She was driving like a bat out of ----.  I was keeping my fingers crossed that I would survive.  Afterwards we stopped at the Olive Garden for lunch.  I used my mother's day gift card to treat Melissa for a birthday lunch.  It was very nice to have lunch out.  I haven't been to a restaurant in such a long time.  Then we stopped at my house and picked up a hair straightener.  I straightened her hair.  Wow!!! She looks so different with straight hair.  She felt on top of the world.  Melissa needed this because she has been going through a tough time.  I am glad that I could make my friend happy.  It made me feel really good.  I have never, NEVER had a girlfriend like this that I did things with.  It is a really weird, but good feeling. I am happy that she is my friend.  A girl couldn't ask for a better friend.  My husband and I are getting a long a lot better.  I am glad for this.  I am thinking about having my tubes tied and doing the embolization.  I don't want the endro to grow back.  Today is the best day in a LONG, LONG time.  I just wish that I was feeling better in the southern region.  I was up almost the whole night last night crying in pain.  I think be interstitial cystitis was acting up.  I have to stay away from lemon juice and fish.  No more of that.  This is my last weekend.  I am trying to stay positive.  I hope I have a lot more of this great day.  YEAH!!! I am so proud of myself today.
