Texas

My boyfriend and I have two friends who are married. We all live in Colorado and love being around each other. Well at least everyone else does. I'm not the biggest fan of our group. Jenn is 24, Scott is 31. We can have a lot of fun sometimes but it's still weird when I'm 19, and my boyfriend is only turning 21 soon. It's a little odd for me because Mitch (my boyfriend) is pretty much best friends with Scott, so I have to get along with them in best a way I can.
Scott and Jenn recently decided instead of moving out of the town they would like to leave Colorado and asked Mitch and I to come with. Currently my life is in Colorado. I'm going to school here, all my friends are here, my works, family, everything. If I were to pick up and leave, the only reason I would end up moving is because of my boyfriend. Which is too much of a commitment for us right now. We have been dating for two years and I have never connected with someone as well as I have with him. But there are still some other stipulations that prevent us from getting too serious.
So I will not be moving to Texas, which is where they were thinking of moving. First of all, who moves TO Texas? Nothing against anyone from Texas, I respect some people really enjoy it, but from my experience most people move FROM there. I will not be going due to how much of my life is in Colorado, but Mitch is contemplating it because he wants to get his aviation license and it's almost 30k cheaper at the school he was looking at.
And so this past week, we all visited, even me. I wanted to be there to support everyone, and most of all continue to stay updated. I hate feeling left out and I wanted to be able to know everything that they were thinking and going through while they were there seeing if the wanted to move there.
We stayed near the airport, which was a bad idea cause there was nothing near the George Bush airport. I guess we were in Greensport? And I guess that's just a bad town to be in. Pretty much nobody on the trip liked Houston. The other places we looked, Woodlands and Galveston not so bad.
This whole time I'm sitting there feeling crappy as shit and then Jenn talks to me later telling me she's just not feeling it. She's not feeling the place and pretty much doesnt want to live there. Which was bad because it gave me hope. Up to this point I have been attempting to prepare myself for Mitch to move. I know he had not decided but the chances of him staying in Colorado are slim. So I tried to prepare myself for him moving to another state. And Jenn not liking a lot of where we went was really hard because I started to think, wow maybe they won't move out here, maybe he and I still have a chance.
But our day in Galveston..Jenn didn't like it significantly better but now there is a much better chance of her going out there. And if Jenn and Scott go. Mitch goes. No questions asked. But he won't go alone. So now I'm so torn because I have this little sliver of hope that maybe....just maybe Mitch will stay...because Jenn doesn't want to go. But I know deep down that the chances of them staying are slim to none.
I went with Mitch, just him and I to meet with someone at the aviation school in Conroe. That was informational and Mitch and I talked about how long he may be working on his hours and doing CFI training and then training other people to gain hours, just the amount of time it would take for him to get to a place where we might have a chance of finding a state we both like and moving there. But it's just so many factors that the chances of us working out are small. It's just hard. I just need to know if someone has had any luck in this area. Any one with some advice on how to deal with this or what we can do to make this transition easier and the next years on how to be able to work out this helicopter thing.
