Tests, tests, and more tests!

So I have just entered the world of fertility specialist appointments that I fear will be a very long journey and I thought it would be kind of cool to document it.  I started out with using Clomid for three rounds through my gynecologist from January 2014-June 2014 with no luck.  She then decided that she needed to send the big guns in so off to a fertility specialist we went.  As the woman, I of course had to be subjected to the bulk of the tests, which really, is just a sign of what's to come.  The first test was the blood work, and because I have very small veins that like to hide from needles, it took 2 sticks for them to get my blood.  Then I had to wait for my period to start before the rest of the tests could be completed.  More blood work (4 sticks this time and they barely got enough blood to fill the tubes) and a sonogram on CD3.  The sonogram was uncomfortable but not painful.  This Monday, I had the HSG, which was very painful but it was quick.  Cramps lasted the rest of the day and I was pretty much useless.  I also stopped on the way home and got a milkshake and cheese fries from steak n shake because I was in so much pain!  I decided that I earned it.  Today, I had the SIS completed, which was even more painful and also left me with cramps for the rest of the day.  And my husband is complaining about providing a sperm sample, that he can do at home and then bring into the office!
