tests again

Well today I recieved a letter from my endo. All the rheumatology related bloods he ran came back normal. My CRP (an inflammation marker) is still elevated which we already knew and I'm deficient in Iron so got to get supplement. He has sent me a blood request for Coeliacs testing now. This could be a possible as my father was diagnosed last year on the back of anaemia and scope. I know that arthritis is a fairly rare manifestation of coeliac  so i'm guess ing this is also in his thoughts. Still this alone cannot cause all the symptoms. I still smell a rat in the form of acro and will await the most recent IGF test. If this still shows nothing then I 've decided I will write to an acro expert at Christies Hospital. He acccept 2nd opinon referrals from GP's but will seek  his advice prior as my GP thinks i'm wrong. I know enough to realise that blood testing is a diagnostic tool and not always fully conclusive for some things.  On a side note i'm struggling with my mobile phone keys now to text and spend ages having to correct. Just another thing that is bugging me lol. Missing my other half loads now as he is staying in the highlands with his mum til we get a house and I can move up too. Meeting with uni soon to decide what to do. Don't feel up to doing a clinical placement at the mo so more than likely going to defer for a bit. Everything is unknowns at the mo and although i'm no control freak I do like to know what's happening. How can you plan when you don't know what next week brings? Thanks for reading Moleyx

OMG hun I had the same thing with the mobile phone - I want one of those slider ones that has a keyboard... well for some reason I think that would help me but I am probably being silly... my fingers are not large at all (quite petite still as I had fingers like a child before this) but it is more from a pain perspective that I cannot text much or I end up crying in pain from pressing the buttons. Plus it then makes me feel bloody sick!

I can understand about the up and downs and being unable to plan etc. It\'s one of my biggest moans as you have probably noticed on my journal. I think maybe it is a good idea to concentrate on finding out what is wrong so that you can then concentrate on your studies and placements properly without making yourself worse. Easier said than done though!

As for the 2nd opinion and the acro... I have been mulling over and started researching the options for me to find a consultant to see privately. I can\'t afford it, but my mum can so I am lucky in that respect. I haven\'t heard from endo for over a month now! I feel like I have been just left in some gaping hole... in limbo land. I went and looked at Barts and have found where the specialists from there work privately. Also found another guy online who seems quite interesting so I am thinking to shoot him an email and see what he says. It certainly can\'t hurt. I have heard good things about Christies!
