The CT myelogram went well on Tuesday. They required 2 days of bed rest for me due to the dye that they had to run clear up to the base of the skull. They didn't want to run the risk of it entering the brain where it could have caused seizures. Had to wait till yesterday to hear from the doctor. Last year's MRI revealed a flattening of the spinal cord. The doctor showed this to us on the MRI films. Then he ordered this test to see how much involvement there was with the spinal cord and nerves. What a surprise & blessing we have had. As if the myelogram we have had a miracle!!!! Not only is there no spinal nerve involvement, but the spinal cord appeared normal and not crushed. We are so excited!!! The only thing the doctor could see that could possibly cause my pain was some spurs along the vertebral column. He says that these will also be reduced with traction, physical therapy and some shots. He is sending a letter to my primary care doctor and letting her handle all this from here. God is so good!!!!
