Terrible Two's My Big Fat Hiney!
You ever have a relatively stressful day and can't wait to go to bed?
That was me yesterday. My kids absolutely drove every person in this house batty.I woke them up around 6 fed them some cereal for breakfast. Told them to go play in their room for a while so I could get my housework together. For the most part they did stay in their rooms, but I had to chase them around some.
I didn't get the laundry done, but the dishes were finished the living room was clean, bathrooms sanitized, mine and the hubby's room cleaned. The kids picked up the toys in their rooms but I did the dusting, vacuuming, and making the beds.
It's about lunch time so I made them some corndogs (quick and easy when wanting my kids to go ahead and take a nap). I told them to throw away their plates when they finished and to go lay down on their beds it was time for a nap (1:00)
They fought me until I ran through time outs, talking calmly to them, sitting in the room with them til they fall asleep. I finally broke down and spanked them and THEY STILL WOULDN'T TAKE A NAP!
Tried playing with them from 3:00 onward to wear them down and it still didn't work. Dinner time runs around about 6:00. Fix them a good plate of Chicken and Dumplins what do they do. Pour their drinks on the table, in the bowl of food, cry, throw a tantrum. At this point I'm like these kids could make Mother Theresa say a curse word.
I finally had my limit of them running over me and told them if you two don't go lay down somewhere anywhere i don't care if its my bed and go to sleep I'm going to scream.
They both went to sleep at 7 or 7:30 so I went and laid down on my bed and crashed I didn't even care that I didn't get to see my new episode of American Horror Story.
That sleep was short lived as they both woke up at different times in the night and didn't want to go back to sleep..
I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THEY ARE TEENAGERS. I WILL EXACT MY REVENGE!
