Tears of Great Joy

I made up my mind earlier today that I was going to write an amends to my sister, Gina. Our relationship has had many very good ups but when there are downs they can last for years without speaking.  Years.  I have been thinking all day what I am going to say.  Where do I start, how do I end it, etc.I went to an AA meeting and got back at 9 pm.The post Darrell started about step 8 and all of the responses really helped me a lot.  I decided in my letter I was not going to include in my letter a single thing about the wrongs she has done me and she has done plenty.  This letter was going to be all about what I have done wrong to her and ask her to forgive me if she can.So, I kid you not, right when I came to my decision the phone range.  It was 10:45.  It was my sister and the first words she said were, "I'm so sorry", in tears.  Our floodgates opened but we only had 10 minutes to talk cuz those were the only minutes that were left on the card.  Those 10 minutes were the most precious 10 minutes we've shared.  We both apologized and reaffirmed that we love each other and always will.  That our love will never die.  We are sisters forever.  I am still going to write my amends to her.  We both need healing.  Through flowing tears I thanked God and asked Him, BEGGED Him to please, please give me the right words to say.
