Tax Time!
Just calculated the taxes & it looks like we'll have plenty to pay off my card! Of course, we have an obscene amount on the home equity, but some of the refund can take a chip off of it. And future money can go toward paying it off. I just wish DH would stop dumping $ onto it. But there's no way I can stop that; at least not now.
Anyway, it looks like I'll be reaching this goal this year, sooner rather than later. This is a good thing!
My kids went away on a retreat with their youth group to the Adirondaks, which was paid for by the church. They had an excellent time! My daughter seemed to be more outward-focused and my son said that everything (especially the food) was "awesome". He came down with a little cold, though, so I felt kind of bad for him.
On a very personal note, I did a little experiment over the weekend. I won't go into the details, but suffice it to say, I have confirmed to myself (definitively) that my husband's issue(s) have nothing to do with what I am or am not doing. I feel free-er inside, without the weight of unnecessary guilt.
