Taking it Easy

Hey! Just taking it as easy as possible the last few days as we have had some heat that has just flattened me! Phew! Stickin' by the fans and doing as little as possible! Everyone is ok, just hangin' out, etc. Boys going to work. Sarah and I taking it easy. We have a bit of an evening routine. We kinda hang out together. TV, movies, we do puzzle books together, I brush her hair, help her get snacks (she likes cooked stuff like soup or noodles). We both like late night TV, so we have our "shows". We're bonding. The other night she asked me if she had told me how much she enjoyed our nights together! That was special. I'm getting a break from appointments for the next few weeks as our reg. psych and the spec. psych at Children's are both going on holidays. That's good for me as I'm tired of driving into the city, getting up and dragging myself to these things when I'm sleep deprived. So I get a break for 3 weeks. Yippee! As for Sarah, we're just plugging along. We've weined her off of one drug and I have instructions for adjusting 2 more over the next month, so this time without aptmts. won't be lost time as far as her treatment goes.  In the meantime I plan on sleeping, reading, lounging about and enjoying some downtime. Plus this is my first year with no back to school shopping! I can't look happy around Sarah....she's still too sensitive....but I do a happy dance in private! Take care my friends....have a safe and happy summer!

ARGH! I wrote a comment here and submitted it just to discover I\'d lost my internet connection and my comment! :-/

Anyways.... I\'m really glad to hear how well your evenings are coming with Sarah. It\'s really amazing to be able to form that kind of bond. I started doing that with my Mom when I was a bit older than her and now Mom\'s my best friend. :-)

It\'s also great to hear that things are progressing well with Sarah\'s medical condition. Too bad it\'s such slow progress. Enjoy your little break. And it\'s really wonderful to be hearing such an upbeat attitude in your journal; it\'s refreshing. I\'m glad you\'re feeling so much better. Hopefully Sarah\'s view of the situation will turn around soon, too. Maybe in a couple of years, she can look back at this period and laugh. You know, the awkward kind of laugh that says, \"Ha! Fate tried to take me down but I BEAT it! Look what I\'ve overcome!\" All in time...

Enjoy your little vacation!

Thanks....it\'s sooooo good to hear from you....been missing you!
I know all this is making Sarah stronger (and she was already a really strong person) but I really hope it doesn\'t make her tough. And I hope she someday does put this all in perspective as far as the bigger picture goes, and can maybe smile if not laugh.
