You should be fine if you're used to hiking and physical trainings, yet I wouldn't recommend anyone who doesn't or to bring kids along. Cutest shops and photo ops - grab your food and art souvenirs here and some bites to eat while you are at it. I also recommend you to go to hot spring in early morning and you can look sunrise when you enjoy in hot spring .

This place does not have a power line, but only a green color of young rice, so it is also known as a “green road of paradise”. This is just a pullover on the highway, but I recommend stopping to enjoy the epic coastal view. The hot spring is accessed on the remote Southern Cross-Island Highway . After an hour’s drive along the highway from Chishang, you’ll need to park and follow a steep downhill trail for 90 minutes. Finally, you’ll need to cross the river to access the hot pools.
You can look out over the vast Pacific Ocean and imagine the islands of Polynesia. The West Coast may be more civilized, but the East Coast is more scenic. We walked the length of the park and popped out on the ocean side to a gorgeous view.

It takes about two hours to explore the islands so make sure you have sufficient time and check the weather before venturing to Sanxiantai. Tiehua Music Village and Taitung Railway Art Village are both a 15-minute drive away. Featuring a balcony with mountain views, each air-conditioned room here will provide a TV, refrigerator and tea/coffee facilities.

This provides Taitung with not only spectacular scenery but also an ocean breeze that makes this tropical city surprisingly comfortable. Taitung was developed by the Japanese in the early part of the 20th century and they were responsible for the construction of the roads and railway to the area. This in turn brought an influx of Han Chinese settlers into the area that already had several indigenous groups, creating a diverse city of indigenous, Hakka, and Hoklo populations.
There are many other cycling trails like the scenic Chishang trail and challenging routes on Green and Orchid islands for those looking for a challenge. Tea has been Taiwan’s best-known agricultural products for centuries, and visiting tea plantations is one of Taiwan’s top tourist activities. These plantations stretch from Northern Taiwan to the southern tip of the islands.
