Taitung must eat Delicacy
We spent a couple of hours viewing the exhibits, but this remarkable collection, so very well presented deserves more like a full day. The outside space of the museum is an artwork on itself, you can walk around for free and view the various sculptures, fountains, ponds and gardens. The exhibits include animal and bird taxidermy and fossils, weapons and armour, musical instruments, ancient clocks and Western art.
This lighthouse is cylindrical shaped coloured in white and is also renowned as “the Light of East Asia” for its strong optical power of light that can reach 20 miles at most. Kenting Street is where visitors are offered with a complete selection of foods while embraced by enjoying a relaxing holiday ambience. In addition, fresh tropical fruits and seafood can also be found along the street.
Both are very popular and have a great range of eats and goods. No regrets spending time at either of these night markets. Shilin probably has a slightly wider range of eats.

Located on the riverside of Tamsui River and as a former colonial area for the Spanish, the Dutch and as well as the Japanese, Tamsui was one of the major trading ports in Asian history. As a consequent, when you are enjoying local famous Taiwanese street food at Tamsui Old Street, you may also discover some of the colonial remains! ●Longshan Temple which has been built since 1738 and is one of the most historical Chinese temples in Taiwan. We will be also going to the nearby Snake Alley to experience local people’s life, delicacies and drinks. After dark, you'll find Taipei locals at the city's night markets.
It’s a commercial operation in an area that suits this particular flower and there are obviously quite a number of growers. How they keep going up and down this hill 12kms each way must be a chore and somewhat dangerous. There’s not much room to pass in places but we make it down in one place and take the scenic route through to the coast.
Yehliu Geopark, home to the iconic Queen’s Head rock formation, looks more like a landscape from Mars than the northern coast of Taiwan. With its otherworldly natural structures, all of which have alluring names such as the Fairy Shoe and Sea Candles, the park makes for an enriching day trip from Taipei. However, the unresolved "Taiwan question" and "One China" issue continues to stir emotions and political debate. 7TAITUNG-HUALIEN (B/L/D)The highlight today is a visit to the East Coast National Scenic Area, known as Taiwan's Last Unspoiled Land, stretching 170 kilometers down the east coast of Taiwan. Weathering and erosion have produced a wide range of breathtaking landforms here which can only be experience first-hand.
China can count itself very lucky that the red guards and their ilk did not get their hands on the priceless, magnificent and ancient artifacts and exhibits that we viewed today.
