Tac cerclage in place-Week 10

I had my abdominal cerclage surgery last Wed. So glad it's over. Came back home on Friday. I have a little pain and it's a little uncomfortable to sleep but as the days pass I feel better. At least now I feel more confident that the cerclage will keep my cervix closed so I will carry my baby to term. During the surgery the doc did say I have pretty big fibroids above my uterus... not in the way of the baby, but we'll have to keep an eye on them because in the third trimester they could cause early labor. If I didn't get this type of cerclage, I probably would have lost this pregnancy due to IC. The plan with my OB will be to go for bimonthly appointments and ultrasounds, get the P17 shot and the indochin?. When I was released on Friday the doc seemed positive that I'd have a good outcome. Anyone struggling with an incompetent cervix, consider getting the abdominal cerclage. It's a little more invasive, but so worth it in the end. Thanks, Kelly!
Can't believe I'm about 10 weeks and 2 days. I've been laying low. Really don't feel like doing much.. I just read brainless stuff on the internet and watch tv. Finally had the energy to write this journal. I still have a little pregnancy nausea, but it's not that bad.I'm so glad I have the rest of this week off work to heal.
