Our final decision was to purchase the Quick Step Ready Floor Blackbutt 1 Strip Engineered Floor with the Quick-Step Combi-Lay Underlay. The installation team was excellent, completed the job in 2 days, and were a pleasure to work with. The new floor is brilliant and we are very pleased with the outcome. Structurally sound, yet retaining all the beauty and properties of real wood, engineered timber floors are less affected by humidity and temperature. Engineered timber flooring can be thinner than a solid wood floor and, hence, cheaper.
