I'm slowly overtime trying to visit all of Washington's State Parks, and there are a large number of them in the Port Townsend area. I was able to visit 6, including this one, where I made camp for the night. Got here cat grooming near olympic park kind of late so didn't get to explore to much, but did one of the trails down to the beach. I camped alone with my dog and I had zero issues. The trails are fun to explore, and the camping area is well maintained.
Higher still into the Olympics, Hurricane Ridge sits three hours from Seattle and 17 miles from the small harbor town of Port Angeles. A visitor center peeks at a vista of jagged mountains. In winter, skiers ride rope tows up short slopes or head into the backcountry.
But, highway traffic is pretty much nonexistent in the evening and night and the entire camp was pretty quiet by 9 pm every evening. The coordinates for this location takes you into a road that is within the National Park. Across the road you’ll find the South Beach Camping. It’s $20/night or $10/night if you have a reciprocal pass. After someone stole my original site at a campground, I stumbled across Allen’s bar.

This access point is along the north side of US Hwy 101, opposite Jamestown S’Klallam Tribal Headquarters in Blyn. There is ample parking with designated handicapped parking, as well as restrooms. Access to the trail is at the west end of the parking area. The trail eastward runs around the tribal parking area and continues for about 1 mile to its current end along Old Blyn Hwy. To the west it slopes gently down to the Old Blyn Hwy. It then uses the road surface for about 0.5 miles before the separated paved trail resumes.
Great place, huge portions, very filling with decent prices. We tried the fish, chicken, noodle, eggplant potatoes and black fungus. Spacious tables, great decor, efficient staff and overall we had a great decor. To those who complain about customer service, please this is Chinatown not fine dining. This is great place for Sichuan Chinese food that's well priced, good quality and tasty.
Mount Ellinor is one of the tallest mountains on the eastern side of Olympic National Park. This hike is 6.2 miles round trip with 3,300 feet of elevation gain. Your reward is panoramic views over the Olympic Peninsula and out to Mount Rainier and Mount Baker. This stretch of beach allows you to explore more of Olympic National Park’s rocky coastline. It is easier to get to than Shi Shi Beach and it is not located on a reservation, so there is no additional fee, other the national park fee, to visit this beach.

During sufficient low tides, tidepooling is available at Hole-in-the-Wall, a 1.5 miles hike form the Rialto Beach parking area.

Kalaloch Beach is a wonderful beach to watch incredible sunsets.
