swollen glands
I am NOT looking forward to driving in to Boise tomorrow for group meeting. We had two weeks off for Christmas break and all of my kids have been home. It has been nice not having to drag myself up and out when my body is so very tired.
Every morning my lymph nodes on my neck are swollen. This is not a new symptom but I haven't had them swollen every day for this long before. It would usually come and go and the swelling would gradually go down most days.
I don't want to go to the doctor. The tests always come back normal. I looked up swollen lymph nodes on line and of course there isn't anything about CFS that would be helpful - just says it is a symptom, etc. etc. If I didn't have CFS I would think there was something seriously wrong with me because my glands are swollen all the time. HA! Now, I just know that I have CFS and apparently it isn't THAT serious because CFS symptoms don't make too much noise in medical sites that talk about treatments and so forth. I must be okay.... (she says sarcastically because she is in a tired mood)
I haven't been sleeping well - waking up a lot and hot and cold and weird dreams and feeling like my hips and shoulders are poking into the mattress, or the mattress is poking me. I keep telling myself the daylight will stretch a little longer each day and the time will move swiftly into the warmer months.
I wonder why I can't seem to produce a better attitude about life but the fatigue is ever present and the headaches keep coming. The kind that don't respond to anything - deep breathing, homeopathic remedies, naproxen, ibuprofen, lots of water, and everything else I've tried.
Let's see what 2011 will bring us. There is always hope, plenty of possibilities, miracles waiting to happen, and opportunities to learn new things. If I could just shake off some of this fatigue to see things a bit more clearly.
carry on.
