Sweet Sixteen Weeks
I saw my little baby yesterday. I say it that way, because I also have a big baby...who is almost 13 months & just said her first word: "kakka," which is a Finnish word...I'll let you guess what it means. I can't for the life of me get her to say "mama," but she'll say "kakka" all day long! My doctor gave me an ultrasound, just so I could take a picture home for my husband. The baby looked so SNUGGLY! He/she was all curled up, hand by his/her face, feet tucked under...just like he/she was sleeping in what I like to call the "stinkybug position." While driving home in the car, I was overcome as I thought of how much love I still have to give. A mother's capacity to love must be one of the greatest forces on earth. I am always amazed by it. I wanted to write a letter to the baby, so I will do it here: My Dear Child, I want you to know how much you are loved. It is more than I can describe...it is given freely by your parents, your big sisters, your excited grandparents & great grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and true friends. I hope you will always know that although I loved two daughters before you joined us, there is just as much love ready for you. I can't wait to see you, to kiss your sweet head & hold you close to me. Until then, I will hold you inside! Love Always,Mommy

That is such a precious letter to your child. Very sweet. I am so happy for you. {{Hugs}} ... oh and is Kakka the same thing I know it as? Or if it is being pronounced the way I know it, it means yucky. I don\'t know where it came from other then my parents would say \'Oh that is kakka don\'t touch\'. Maybe they are two different words. LOL! :D

Misypris knows the direct translation! Woo-hoo, I didn\'t know you speak Finnish! Olet niin kaunis! Diem, I think you are right also. I\'ll have to ask my husband, but I think kakka also means yucky. It does in English anyway!

thats so cute that your duaghter is talking already i have a 15 month old nephew and his favorite thing to say right now is oww The letter is very sweet I planned to do that myself when I get blessed Im glad everything is going great with the pregnancy

Yep, I have been there, trying to get Brett to say anything other than Oh oh and wwww.. Finally a break though when he was around 14 or 15 months he started to say Mama then Dada following the word more etc.. in due time she talk up a storm!!
The letter to your baby b or g is presious, Why did I think of that before baby Darrin was born what a great idea.
The ultrasound pictures were always a blur until around 18 wks or so, well from what I remember that is!!
