Sweet Memories
Sweetheart,
I love you, always have, always will.
Hannah and I were out in the shop after chores today and I looked over at the table saw. It brought back memories of Wyoming when we got our woodworking equipment and started making custom cabinets. Remember how we had the shop set up, so there was plenty of room for both of us to work and space for the kids too? And the big windows over the workbench so we could look out and watch the kids playing in the yard. I remember planing the blue pine lumber for the first big kitchen project we had to do and the kids had so much fun playing in the shavings. They used their Tonka toys to load up the shavings in their dump trucks. Oh, what a joyous time in our life that was.
And remember as we gained more equity in the business we would order another bigger piece of power equipment? How we discussed the merits of what piece of equipment would be the most beneficial for us at each point in time. We worked on some pretty big jobs for our little custom shop. The kitchens, the entertainment centers, desks, the antique restoration, the work for Chuck..... All of those memories came flooding back today. We had so much fun working together. And the products that we put out were quality and perfect.
The kids talk about the play table that you made for them. Remember how difficult it was to keep it a secret because they spent so much time in the shop with us. The boys and I would like to draw up the plans and take it to a CAD shop and perhaps we could market them. Remember how we always talked about multiples streams of income...... :) If I am ambitious, maybe we will try to make one for Hannah.
Sweetheart, we had so many chapters in our life. Each chapter was full of love and hope and anticipation and dreams for our future. If only I could turn back time.
The chapter of my life that is being written now is full of saddness, I miss you terribly and would do anything to have you back. When I get weepy Hannah asks if I "miss Papa in the sky" and I honestly tell her that yes I do. Then she says that she misses you too and blows you a kiss. She loves her Papa. I love her Papa.
Until we once again can walk hand in hand I will be blowin' kisses to heaven.
Please watch over and guide us. We still need you.
Loved you yesterday, love you today, will love you for eternity.

Polly, as I write this there are chills running down both legs. This is so touching and I weep for your deep yearning for Gary. You two must have had a perfect marriage and I can tell how much you loved your kids and grand daughter.
Love and hugs, Wanda
