Suspended

Got a call from the Housemaster at the High School, which means only 1 thing: a discipline problem. Apparently my son got mad at some girl in his Food Services class, said "Don't tell me what to do, b***" & proceeded to throw a mixer and other utensils at her. So the teacher called Security to get him & bring him to the office. Turns out that he will now have a 5-day out-of-school suspension & will be pulled out of that class (which he loved & was getting an A in).
I'm beside myself. That is not how I raised him. Now I need to figure out what to do with him.
Can't call my husband until later, because he's on the road & there's nothing he can do right now anyway. And I've got to pray this girl isn't hurt & that the situation doesn't escalate in a legal way. I guess I'll have to ask my son about that when I get home (I already planned to take a 1/2 day today).
Definitely is grounded, at least from Youth Group tonight & no computer. I'll probably need to ascertain what homework he'll be missing so he can be doing that at home. I'm wondering if our pastor is back from his conference; maybe my son can do some work around the church...If not, at least around the house.
I feel sick.
