Surreal

Initially, it was surreal when we discovered our son had a substance abuse problem, along with the arrests, unruly behavior, and school issues.  Now?  Now it's surreal that he insisted that he go to college.  He started this week at a community college and has been getting up every morning (so far) for school.  Time will tell.
What is ironic, is that the exit we take to take him to school is the same one we had to take for juvenile court.  In fact, we see it straight ahead as we leave the exit.  And if we turn left we go toward our middle son's college - turn right and we go toward T's school. Their schools are about a mile a part.  Ironic.....
