Surprise?

Well, I wanted to take my Husband out on a date and make it a surprise. I took him to the Botanical Gardens - they put up Christmas lights on all the plants, trees, flower bushes etc...so at night its all lit up and BEAUTIFUL! Well, since I havent been able to go anywhere fun for ummm ...let just say... probably years, yeah thats about right...I have missed out in life so much ( I am the poster child for hermit- ville) when I was walking around (this is really corny I know- but true) I was thinking about all the people that cant be up and out right at the moment and it felt kinda bittersweet. Sometimes I live through other people because thats what I can do to feel better, I truely feel happy for them enjoying their life because I will not give up hope that I ALSO WILL "BE THERE" ONE DAY - I just know it. Now I may not climb Mount Everest or take part in a marathon ... I may never have another day thats pain free... BUT I DID HAVE last night so I am soakin' it in ...;) Oh yeah, the surprise I had planned was lacking in one important thing. Yeah--that would be a weather report. I guess I was excited or something because the only thing that crossed my mind was whether or not it was going to be a little cold and what coats we should wear...I tell him "okay you need to head South 405 (meanwhile the car is almost hydroplaning through the giant puddles in the road) it shouldn't take TOOO long to get there" (he is looking at me sideways like where in the bleep are we going woman in a downpour like this-WITH COATS ON- obviously we arent going to be INSIDE during this little expedition we have goin on here.) Did I mention I have never planned ANYTHING (in 21 yrs) with out telling him what we are doing? I though it would be fun :) But it POURED buckets, cats, dogs, chickens, we jumped over gigantic puddles (he went first - grabbed my hand and said JUMP>>> I said NOOOO... I CAAANT...its a LAAAAKE he said JUUMMMMP !! ) So I jumped>>> Ohhh CRAAAAAP Im gonna paaay for thiiis... (huge smile- laugh) We came home and my Converse sneaks were wet and brown...Hubbs said he enjoyed it alot -- but doesnt enjoy surprises alot ;) I feel fine today and I cant wait to jump again! Thanks for reading, I just wanted to share with people that ABSOLUTELY GET IT!
