Surgery set for July 5

So, surgery is set for July 5.  I did the best I could at finding a "great" surgeon for my husband.  We can't afford to fly all over the country and my husband wants this tumor out now! The surgeon I picked has done approximately 850 surgeries. And the hospital is  University of Miami. All these numbers are so confusing and then if the surgery is not a complete success you have to take medicine and then that seems even more confusing. 
Just wishing for a magic pill.
