Surgery over with

Dennis had his surgery today at 1:00 p.m. He was scheduled for up to 3.5 hours for a hand assisted nephrectomy . The Doctor completed  a laprascopic in 2.5 hours. The Dr. meet us in the consult room and provided this feedback " The surgery went well I am very pleased. We were able to do  it laparoscopically with a few challenges around previous surgical scars ( Dennis had gastric bypass and later a torsoplasty ) Everthing else looks good with no other treatment required. We will need to review the pathology report in a few weeks. I will stop in the a.m. and see Dennis. "
( this intial prognosis was 6cm cyst w,3 cm mass  RCC contained in the kidney , no lymph nodes or metatasis . We were told 97% chance of recovery )
 Dennis Dad and I spent most of the evening with him with his vitals , pain and stat's all where they should be. He will be in the hospital from 3-5 days then home.
I guess other than basic recovery from surgery , which dennis and I have gone through before ( gastric by pass , torsoplasty and knee surgey) I am most curious about the pathology .
