Surgery date
Surgery is scheduled for August 2nd. The hag has still not answered any of my questions, she said she would call me back tomorrow for that but I called her 4 times today and she had to schedule it to get me off her back.
I live in Phoenix and my son Tony recently moved to Prescott. He called me today and asked me to pay for a shuttle to bring him to Phoenix. He said he wanted to spend sometime with me. Come to find out, after I agreed to pay for the shuttle I wont even get to see him. His purpose for coming to town is to show his friend how to get to the Air Force base. Why the hell isn't his friend paying for the stupid shuttle? I feel like such a...punk.

I am so glad that you have a date and I am sorry you are being treated so badly. We do things for our children who are still with us I understand this totally take care my friend and love to you
Gosh...is it okay to wait that long for the whole tacking everything up surgery?
I agree with Karen, wow, that is a long time before surgery, but you did get a date, that part is good.
That seems like an awfully long time to have to wait for the surgery. I don\'t know how you are going to handle that. Just from what I have read on prolapsed bladder, I don\'t know if I could. I guess you haven\'t been given a choice though. Hugs, Barbara
What a huge bummer! To force you to live with the pain and inconvenience of constant urinating for two more weeks! And I\'m sorry your son is taking advantage of your mother-kindness and generosity. Bums all!!

That is such a long time away for the surgey which means you will be uncomfortable at the retreat. I think you need to make some phone calls and get it done much sooner and skip talking to the B.... Hugs, Inga

Colleen, I\'m sorry your surgery won\'t happen before the retreat. I work in an OR setting. I\'m not sure about other hospitals in your area, but at our hospital the doctors get what\'s called \"block time\", which means they have a certain day of the week that is their time to schedule and perform surgery. Some older more established doctors may get two days a week. You have to think of all the different types of surgeries that go on. One day may be urology surgeries such as in your case. Another day, ENT surgeries, ortho surgeries, general surgeries, heart surgeries, plastic surgeries, etc. Not every doctor can just say hey, I want to do this today or tomorrow unless it\'s an emergency. In any case, summer is soooooo busy with people scheduling surgeries because they can take vacation time so it\'s understandable that your surgery is a few weeks out. I wouldn\'t think of yourself as a \"punk\". Your son is no different than most of our children. It\'s just easier to ask mom to pay because she usually will. Tell him he could atleast visit and I\'m sure you could meet up somewhere. Good luck. Love Robin
