Surgery Date

I have just been reading my Daily Strength Daily peoples entries, but today I decided to make and entry. I have received my Surgery date it's May 23rd. My pre op appointment is this coming Friday May 19th. I had been thinking about having the Surgery  for several years now. But I have been trying different things to lose weight all my life. But last year I tried Sensa and that's when I really started to lose weight , but I hit a plateau and was stuck and also it got expensive hard times. So I decide to step up my exercise routine and that help me some then an injury slowed my pace. I really started thinking about the surgery and I prayed about it and thought about it. My Kaiser doctor I have had for some years now left to go to southern california and I got a new physician, and I decided I would make a change in my life so I told him I was interested in having GNY. He told me that I needed to go to a class that would give me more information. I attended the class and it help me confirm that I wanted to go thru with having the surgery. I had already been losing the weight I started out last May at 334 lbs. C urrently i am at 283 yeah! When I decided I was going to have surgery I was at 314 lbs. at my first weight in a the Gastric Bypass Clinic my Surgeon said I needed to get to 288 before he would consider giving me the surgery. I have reached and passed my goal weight. I have to also thank Chuck Norris because I purchase a  Total Fitness Exercise Machine which gives me a great workout every morning. Had all the test I was told to have and now it's a go. I called in on this past Thursday May 12 to get a surgery date someone cancelled so she asked if I could take May 23rd and I said yes.  I am ready to make this change and utilize the tool I am about to get to make a change in my life. I have lots of support and I am Going in a positive direction. I am being more healthy and I am getting my Spiritual life in sync at the same time. I Thank God for giving me the opportunity to get my life in order and for all the blessings he has given me.
