surgery
I had my Knee Surgery on Tuesday the 2nd and it went fine. Leg is still sore around the knee area, which is normal, also the swelling has increased, he said it's b/c of the cleaning out and all the scraping and it should be gone in a couple of weeks. I a;so should be able to get back to my normal self. My exercises start Friday and I am not relly looking forward to them, but they have to be done. I am exited though of the possibilities that I'll be able to Hike again, especially when the spring gets here. I have to stay off Enbrel until my Knee is fully healed, but right now I am in no pain. I think the Intravenous Antibiotics I got helped. I am also on Vicodine about every 4-6 hrs. So that helps also. I received alot of Iv Meds and until they fully leave my system it's hard to tell what I will be going through as far as pain. I just stay positive. My Dr. did tell me that I had alot of infection and fluid in there and that alot of it contributed from the RA meds., but what am I to do. I have to take them. So I will just take one day at a time and see what the future holds.

Did you get a replacement, or just a cleaning? My dad had his knee cleaned up and it never worked well. Mind you that was OA, not RA, and he had lots of bone fragments from football. Hope you are feeling better soon.
Yes I had the Knee cleaned as well. He did not want to Replace it yet, nbut said that in the future I will probably need it. So far I am in no pain other than the fact that I can\'t bend it yet, and that makes it hurt. So hopefully that will resolve in the following weeks too. I have to keep exercising it.
Thanks for the Info, I know that the severity and injuries are different with everyone. I hope your Dad gets to feeling better.
