Support Group Meeting

My wife and I attended a support group meeting in Waterville this week. The group is for families with loved ones in prison. The meeting started with everyone telling briefly their story of the their loved one in prison and all the horror stories. Surprised when they arrived at me and I said I was in prison. The whole attitude of the room changed as I explained all my circustances, or at least as much as they could bear. I was able to answer many questions as well as my wife, here were real life people living the hell we had just come out of. I was so comfortable and felt so at home in the meeting talking about and hearing about the issues of prison. I found that I wasn't crazy for the feelings and fears I had and that others have the same experiences. I also discoverd first hand just how greatly my God has delivered us from many of the challenges and punishments that others have to endure. Never thought I would be helpful in such an areana as this, but My God is able to make the crooked paths straight and to put streams in the desert.
I am recommited and encouraged in my quest to start a support group in my local area.  What a blessing and I encourage all to find a face to face group as well as this online family.   Grace and Peace.
