Sunshine through the clouds

Well I say that figuratively amnd literally. It was a cloudy dreary day but things are moving forward toward that sunshine (brighter days)

I am not thrilled about spending so much for new shoes , but content that I will soon be fitted properly so I may walk and move with more comfort and ease.

I am also very happy that I have lost 18 pounds and my sugar is almost normal. I have had no side effects from new meds ( cross your fingers and say some prayers) and look forward each day for more progress.

As I look on here I see and hear so many who have struggles and may be in a very dark place at the moment. I remember how that feels... to hide out at home and isolate... where it is safe and familiar. The thing is, I have come to learn that even just taking a teeny step, whether it is to reach out to a friend or relative and just call and chat can make a difference to both YOU and WHO YOU CALL. Or going outside for a breath of fresh air and sunshine for a change of scenery.

I started by not holding myself to my endless to do lists, but rather focusing on a couple positive things to work on each day.  My apologies, I am getting off my soap box and not trying to tell others what worked for me ( because I wish it works for them) In my perfect world I will ALWAYS continue to search for that MAGIC WAND to fix it all for each of us.

PS I have yet to find the damn wand. If ANYONE has seen it lately please let me know. BAHAHA

Hugs and best wishes for all of us.

Hey girlfriend. what is a to do list. I do things when I feel like it Today, transplanted 4 indoor plants and that is it. I didn't even make my bed. Cleaned the kitchen too. , it is good to see you on one. hehehe Good going. My favourite quote, translated from Italian. So it might lose something. When a woman wants something, not even the devil can handle her. hehehe Keep going cara. big hugs. hehehe

I like reading the positives in your journal. Seeing some positives in each day is a good thing. Keep up the good work.

Thanks everybody

Mary you have inspired me in many ways... reminding me to be kinder with myself, and now to ditch the old to do lists??? Woo hoo.. (Just kidding). I read of things you get done and I assume they were planned and finished off your list. You, once again have a much better idea- - just do when you feel like it.

Brooke It's actually just a drop in the bucket so not so alarming. I've porked up over the last couple years(no thanks to my overzapped thyroid or deteriorating disks and arthritis and lack of mobility) and feel like I have another 85 hundred pounds to go. (Big sigh of disgust)
Don't worry though because I am keeping an eye on things (as is the dr). I am simply grateful for the progress and hope .

oh yes, do it when I feel like it. Just like repotting my poor plants and putting my bath towels away, neatly folded too. hehehe. Girl, you cannot be banging your head against a brick wall to get things done. Go with the flow. big hugs.

YES! Great progress on the weight loss! How encouraging for you! Even better, having that weight reduction you want and nudging your blood sugar down gently at the same time without unwanted dips or spikes.

All good! And, just for noting, what you have done may seem to you to be a drop in the bucket, but it is really a big significant start, and "good" weeks and difficult weeks, and slip-up weeks, and "oh, Bugger" weeks all add up to get you to your goals if you stay in there as you did with these first weeks of hope and good focus. We want you to feel your best!
