Sunflower seeds harvesting :) sweet classic gardening :)

SUNFLOWER SEEDS HARVESTING!!! :) Happy nature, and Gardening smiles, on this sweet joyful monday! :) We're enjoying a great day, and an awesome start to the new week! :) i had a Sunflower seeds harvesting adventure! :) i'm smiling and smiling, and i'm so very happy and excited! :) i harvested a mammoth sunflower, and baked the seeds :) i also saved some of the seeds for replanting next spring :) it's one of my favorite garden traditions, harvesting mammoth sunflower seeds :) it's a very wholesome time n the season :) there's lots of great things going on, and many special nature memories being made :) i made 3 videos of my sunflower seeds harvesting adventure to share with everyone :) Kayla had her 1st day of high school today! :) She had a great 1st day! :) We're so proud of her! :) She has began a new journey in her life, beginning high school :) She went to the same high school my sister's Lisa, Jenn, my niece Alyssa, and i went too :) Taylynn and Mikey begin their school year on wednesday :) September is almost here, and it's almost time for the countdown to the fall season :) i tended our plants today, giving them some nice plant food, and water nourishment :) it got very warm outside. our plants are flourishing so nicely :) It's such a beautiful time in the gardening season :) Tomorrow's sweet treats tuesday! :) We're going out to get some nice treats :) Enjoying this awesome start to the new week! :) Happy Sunflower smiles! :) 

Hi angel friends :) my family and i hope everyone is doing well, and enjoying a great day! :) We love this time of the year :) It's the gardening harvest season, and also back to school time :) Kayla had her 1st day of high school today! :) We're enjoying the spirit of the season :) the golden days of summer time, and all of the great things going on, and many special memories being made :) We're so blessed, and thankful to have you all in our lives :) as we get ready to welcome the month of September, and the countdown to fall season, we have so much more to look forward too :) i'm very happy and delighted to share with everyone today here in my journal, about one of my favorite gardening experiences, and festivities :) 

SUNFLOWER SEEDS HARVESTING! :) i'm so happy and thrilled! :) i love to harvest sunflower seeds :) i've been harvesting the seeds since 2002, when my dad, brother Bobby, and i grew a huge 12 foot tall mammoth sunflower :) i remember baking the seeds, and it was enough seeds to fill 2 canning jars! :) over the years, it's become a great fun tradition to harvest the sunflower seeds :)  i had a sunflower seeds harvesting adventure during the evening yesterday :) it was a spontaneous gardening experience :) i had gone outside to give our front yard plants a watering, and i noticed that a squirrel, and/or golden finches had began to eat some of the mammoth sunflower seeds :) oh my! it's a race to get those sunflower seeds each year! :) We usually let the squirrels and finches eat the other sunflower seeds, and i love to enjoy the mammoth sunflower seeds :) i decided to harvest the mammoth sunflower :) 

This sunflower began it's journey in our garden greenhouse :) i remember early spring, planting the sunflower seeds, and once the sunflowers sprouted and grew a bit, i began to transplant the sunflowers into the garden :) the sunflower i harvested, grew in our front yard garden next to our snowball bush :) i was so excited to see the huge tall sunflower, about 6 and a half feet tall, blossom :) It's the sunflower that i put the sunglasses on, and had an iced coffee party! :) awww! :) The sunflower is the picture on my main page/profile :) i set up a nice area in our backyard, with our garden bench by our raspberry truellis, sunflower tableclothe, and got a bowl, and began to harvest the sunflower seeds :) the seeds grow in these pods around the sunflower blossom :) when the seeds first begin to grow, the seeds are white, and as the seeds begin to ripen, they get these gray stripes on them :) 

i was enjoying harvesting the sunflower seeds, and got a nice bowl of seeds :) i then went through the seeds, i picked out the seeds that had small holes in them, and then i washed the seeds with nice warm water :) i brought the seeds back outside, and i began to let the seeds air dry in the sunshine a bit :) i saved a small handful of seeds to dry, to replant next spring :) i then sprinkled salt on the seeds, and it was time to bake the seeds :) i baked the seeds on 300-350 degrees, and i checked in on the seeds often :) i used a metal spoon to rotate the seeds, so that they baked evenly :) i love the scent of the sunflower seeds baking :) it's awesome! :) 

The sunflower seeds baked so nicely, and are a great snack! :) i had so much fun harvesting sunflower seeds :) i feel so appreciative of nature, gardening, the wholesome feelings it brings my heart, and spirit :) while i harvested the sunflower seeds, i made 3 cool videos to share with everyone :) i  uploaded the videos on my youtube page/channel :) here's the links to the 3 videos i made :) Happy Sunflower smiles :)

Today, i tended our plants, while enjoying some nature walks :) i love these golden days of the gardening season :) i gave our plants some more miracle grow plant food, and i also watered our plants :) i also refreshed our gardens, pulling weeds out of the garden. i picked a huge red tomato, and some more string beans too :) i'm smiling and so excited to be in the gardens every day :) We have lots of nice  flowers blossoming, and we have more mammoth sunflowers growing :) i'll be able to harvest the seeds in September :) it's so neat to see the pumpkins and gourds growing too :) with halloween season right around the corner, it's very exciting to see the pumpkins and gourds growing :) it's been an incredible gardening season, and we still have a really good full month of gardening to look forward too :)

We're enjoying a sweet spirit soaring day! :) Spirit of summer time, gardening, nature joys, and beginning an awesome new week! :) my family and i are doing well, and are in great spirits :) There's lots of great things going on, to begin the new week :) our plants are growing so nicely,and are enjoying the continued warm weather :) it's great growing weather for the plants :) Today for lunch, i enjoyed some baked potatoes with corn on the cob :) lunch was delicious! :) i've been doing really well, with my healthy eating :) Tomorrow's sweet treats tuesday :) We're gonna go out to get some treats :) i may get a pumpkin spiced iced coffee :) Thank you angel friends, so very much, for all that you do for us :) We deeply appreciate everything, with all of the love of our hearts :) BIG GROUP HAPPY SUNFLOWER HUG :) tonight, Holly and i are going to watch the new episode of "Fear the walking dead" show :) There's many more great things to look forward too, with family, friends, and nature :)
