I can't stand being so darn lonely. I come in from work and hope the light is flashing on my answering machine, ya right! Dream on. I am in my 18th month now and I find it really isn't getting any better. My GF from San Diego staid for 7 days last month when our daughter got married and it was so great waking up and having another person in the house. I am starting to eat healthy again, and down 10 pounds. It is a start. My Dad is 96, my brother lives out of the country and I wish he could be here to share some of the load. Don't get me wrong, my Dad is amazing, lives on his own etc, but he has some health issues that worry me and I have no one to share that with. Dad would never be a burden to me, I love him deeply. Wouldn't it be great to have our "old" lives back?
Sorry to dump, just needed to vent. Hugs to all, Wendy

No sorry . Just the truth for all of us. Just one more thing we deal with. One danger is to get use to the loneliness and just go through life half alive. So hard to avoid. Hugs back Peace Bob
Venting is the best thing for us. I\'m in the hospital with only my cell phone to text with or this message would be better.
Just know that whatever you\'re feeling it\'s alright.
..As we share we fine healing and relief.
Sending gentle hugs and good thoughts.

Wendy...hugs to you...the idea about your Dad maybe staying might be good for the both of you :) I am sure he gets lonely, too...

OMG you hit the nail on the head. I\'d LOVE to have my old life back! I think we all would.
Sending hugs. I know you and your Dad are close. I hope he continues to be well for a while yet.
And I totally understand the loneliness. I don\'t work and sometimes I wish I did. But I do babysit my grandkids and that keeps me active and sociable.
More hugs
