Sunday,resting and recharging for tomorrow
Good morning journal, the time is now 8:56am and I have been awake for an hour or so after almost eight hours of sleep,I feel tired but rested, and I am partaking of my first cup of coffee of the day,do your thing caffeine beast, and wake me up!. There is a reason why I'm trying to rest and store up personal banks of energy, tomorrow,I have my first pulmonary rehab class,it involves two trips on the local bus, there and back, and an exercise period with correct breathing techniques, and I know that by the end of it I will be probably be exhausted,if my previous track record is anything to go by,so it is important that I do only what I need to today and rest for the remainder of the time. It is always the same when I know in advance that I will have to leave home for any lengthy period of time, the classes last for two hours, and it is a long time since I engaged in any physical exercise, so I know what to expect and I am able to prepare my body and store up some reserves of energy before I go just as I do for say a shopping trip or a visit to the doctors. Every trip out has to be planned to allow me to be able to stop and rest periodically, that usually involves looking for somewhere to sit down,it could be a wall,a street bench,or simply standing still against a tree, anywhere in fact, that allows me to take the pressure off my legs for a little while to ease the discomfort and pain caused by walking too much. Muscular atrophy is a painful and exhausting condition,I have lost almost all of the power in my legs due to muscle wastage, and my upper torso is also badly affected by weight loss, leaving me weaker than I would like to be,but it is what it is,and we just have to get on with it. There are times,if I try to do too much walking in one stretch,or I over extend myself, and sometimes I can misjudge it badly, leaving me severely out of breath and in quite severe pain,I can also appear drunk as I stagger with the sheer effort of staying on my feet,so we have to allow a lot of extra time to get from point A to point B,hence the need for my elusive wheelchair. If however,I get a favorable decision from the disability people and they award me the enhanced rate of mobility allowance,I can use part of it to have a mobility scooter,it is like a small golf cart, and you hire it on a three year contract paid for with part of your allowance,it covers road tax, insurance, services and repairs etc:,and takes the worry out of buying one and having to pay for any repairs yourself,so it is a far better way to do it,easy motoring with no concerns over extra bills. At the end of the three year hire period,I can then,if I so wish, take it back to the hire center and replace it with a brand new one, just like replacing your used car with a newer model, another advantage over buying outright, that is of course,if the disability assessors get off their backsides and resolve my claim, hopefully we will hear something before Christmas, that would be so nice and would make this Christmas a better one than last year, which was pretty damn miserable. Well journal, time to go be with my awesome wife,we enjoyed our day yesterday, tiring as it was,let us pray that today is another day filled with love and hope, once again,we ask our Father in Heaven for His help and guidance in all we do,until next time then, peace and grace be in our home this day.

I\'m sorry for how severe the fatigue is for you.I can relate in a way because my bad spells with chronic fatigue can be pretty harsh.I know you will get your scooter,there\'s just no doubt in my mind.My Uncle has one that he uses and he really likes it.It will be great when you can shop around town without the worry of falling or not finding a place to sit and rest.
I Hope the physical therapy is going to really help you with your energy and stamina. Remember to eat lots of protein to help rebuild your muscles.(Organic Whey protein and Rice Bran protein in bulk are great for rebuilding muscle mass)Many Prayers to you!
I keep praying for u that you get something soon & don\'t have to do much walking around everything will fall into place I have faith. ****Soft Hugs***
I have a power chair. Awesome. It allows me to get around by myself. My husband gripes that he had to push a manual chair, but it also gave him the feeling that he was helping me. I had problems because he would only push where he wanted to go.
Good luck and may the Lord be with you in all that you do.
