sunday 4 renewal

Despite my drunken, crazy, phoney, money-wasting, cheapskate, lowlife dad dragging me to church on sundays when i was a teenager, I still like to think of the first day of the week, or first of the month, or first day of the year as time for a better start.  (It usually doesn't work that way, but "I can dream, can't I?")
Today was a terrific 4 mile total bike ride to Walmart for stuff; warm nepa weather.  Bought myself 2 cheap salads.  Got some stuff done this morning.  Even my poor 19-year-old cat still vomiting up water doen't seem like end of world, as sometimes does.  And having less than $100 to spend till next month also not depressing, since I have stocked up on stuff the cats and me need.
I definately think revealing here all the lowlife stuff about my lowlife parents has helped me feel less like some criminal with some terrible secrets.  "The truth shall set you free"----aunt ester on sanford & son.
So, "la dee dah" and "fiddle dee dee" as I was even saying out loud to myself off the side of the highway today, on way home.
