Summertime and the living is easy.....

I had a very nice weekend.  Al came over on Saturday.  He wanted to go out to dinner and a movie.  It was just too hot to eat in a restaurant.  I cooked  a light dinner and we cuddled and talked all night long.  Sunday I got together with my dear girlfriend Alice.  She has been spending all her weekends in the Hamptons this summer and is brown as a berry.  We went to the movies and saw Dark Rider, the Batman Movie.  It was Batman, too violent and too long.  Heath Ledger gave a good performance, but he is no James Dean, as I have heard some try to compare him to.  The big news, is my God-daughter, Katie, my cousin Kathy's girl got engaged on Saturday.  Robert and Katie went to Central Park for a picnic and he got down on his knee and bought her a ring and popped the question.  Both he and Katie are in research and will be scientists in 3 to 5 years we will have to call them Dr. Katie and Dr. Robert.  Katie is interested in alzheimers disease and with my generation turning into retirement, I hope a cure is found for everyone.  Well she is so happy.  Today I am going to the bank today  will pick up some fresh vegetables.  I try to lose some of this weight.  I just seem to  always have an excuse, and frankly, just sick of talking about it.  I had coffee and a slice of cake for breakfast.  Taking vitamins now and meds.  Oh well, its just too hot today to stress out.  I will think about it tomorrow!!!!!  Luv, Ree
