Summertime.......and all that JAZZ

"Summertime! and the livin' is easy!
Fish are jumpin' and the cotton is high....
Your pa is rich and your ma is good-lookin'!!!

One of my fave songs and it was featured last night by the female solo singer with the Hugo Jackson Jazz Ensemble. A wonderful song and a wonderful program. Even the oldest seniors were up and dancing!

This was my second good time within a week. Last Friday two women whose birthdays were Oct. 6 and Oct. 8 held a private party and I was invited! Teresa turned 67 and Mollie turned 83. Believe it or not, the 83 year-old woman is the more attractive. That lady really knows how to make a fashion statement!

Both of these events were mostly African American. It was their culture at its best--including the soul food! (I ate very moderately, of course, and it was the next day I started with the POINTS.) This is the fifth day of counting the POINTS and I've been accurate. Tomorrow is food shopping and I look forward to stocking up my pantry with appropriate groceries.

Wishing you all happiness!
