Summertime

I have the kind of mind that always has so much in it, don't know where to start. Ok I'll start with the worst things about the last 3'weeks: first time in my life filing a LETTER OF COMPLAINT re: my GP. I am very emotional and scared but am trusting God to see me through this. I will be assigned a new Dr at the clinic, but the Supervisor, whom the letter is addressed to, will always be there. He sent me a detailed reply, as the complaint was rec'd by the College of Physicians and Surgeons. Of,course they try to,defend everything.
Ok, other stuff: Head and facial burning out of control. Also talked to a lady at my weekly Mental Health Support Group who upset me and made me argue for half an hour just before leaving. Symptoms went through the roof and I could hardly get home. It is a great group and was depressed that I may not be able to handle this woman, who is very judge mental. I realize now, I have to get rid of these people faster and protect myself.
Still have stress about seeing certain neighbors and have an anxiety issue with people in the elevator. The condo complex has 1500 people. I use a folding stool, cane and sit on it in the elevator provoking constant comments. I have had to deal with the issue of "murderous rage". It is a hellava way to grow spiritually, but I think I am making progress. I have finally bought a power wheelchair and now I can exit the building via an adjoining hallway of another building. Was too far to walk before. Fewer people know me there, it is my refuge.
Ok, good stuff:
I am getting comfortable with the wheelchair, so finally can enjoy. "Walk" in the neigbourhood, look at flowers, etc..
Happy about the Peer Support Mental Health Group-very well run and learning about the struggles that people have with clinical depression (yes, worse than mine, because mine is mostly related to my physicalstuff), Bi-Polar, Schizophrenia, etc..
Started a summertime writing class- quite the feat to go and survive but generally nice. I picked a place that is a 15 min drive, garage to elevator to classroom. Also my symptoms are usually better in the evening.
Another good thing:I have been able to read in short intervals. Enjoy my audio books and have seen some interesting shows, movies in the evening. This time of year I usually go for short walks and we have alot of dogs as they allow at our complex, very nice.
It is so nice to see DS friends supporting others in their complicated situations. I feel blessed to be part of such a compassionate group. We are not alone.

Hi Pouty! I enjoyed this journal! Surely you are a person that thinks things through! This is good. You realize that there are many situations where people are mean and thoughtless and you DO have to protect yourself. It isn\'t being mean, it\'s just being wises

So glad you are enjoying the wheelchair, and that it makes you more able to get outside and enjoy yourself!! This is good.

I\'ve never listened to an audio book...all the way through. But I do think that they are wonderful! Especially for children. My g/kids love\' um!!!

People here on DS ARE wonderful supporters, aren\'t they? I know that very well. As you have seen, I\'m going through a rough time right now, and everyone here has got my back with their love and hugs! It\'s a wonderful thing. I thank God for DS. I do!! xoxo : )

Big hugs, Pouty!
