Summer is finally here- "I think"
Wow, I can't believe Easter was the last time I had time to post anything. My how time flies when your busy. Here it is almost 4th of July. I finally have a few days off of work and some sunshine to get some of my yard work done. All of my days off before its been doing the typical Idaho Gully washer thing. So much for a nice spring, and intro into summer. The grass in my yard has to be at least 4 ft tall so its weed eater time instead of the lawn mower. I have been busy in my spare time doing some training with my dog Maks and have even responded to a few searches when I wasn't at work. One night after working a 12 hour shift I no more got into bed and the phone rang calling us out to go find some lost children. That I couldn't turn down. When its kids or the elderly involved it truly tugs at my heart strings. Luckily the kids were all found alive and safe. A bit scared because they thought at first our dogs were wolves but none the less they were all fine. I guess in the mind of a 12 or 13 year old wolves wear bells around their necks and fluorescent vests like our search dogs do. Oh well it all ended well. I have been relatively healthy and have been dieting trying to get rid of the pounds I gained while down with these silly PE's. I found out that 2 of the medications I was on made me gain weight so I convinced my doctor to put me on something different or get me off of them. I have totally quit taking the metropolol and have changed my high blood pressure med.I feel great and a lot less tired and have lost 16 lbs so far. Unfortunately my INR has been below 2 for about a month now and I am at a higher dose of Coumadin, 12.5 a day and for some reason it isn't coming up. The good thing is I haven't had any problems---yet. No I refuse to quit doing the things I do just because my INR is down and I figure why worry about it. Worrying has never gotten me anywhere yet. Other than that everything is fine here in north central idaho. Hope all is well with all of my dear friends on DS.
