Summer is Coming
Summer is coming and that means heat and most of all, sweating. As it gets warmer out, I tend to get more anxious and worried about how my hyperhidrosis is going to be THIS YEAR. Will I be super uncomfortable like most summers, or will I find ways to cope with it? How many fights are my husband and I going to have this summer about turning the AC on because I am so hot and sweaty? What shoes will I have to turn down buying, or SKIP wearing because my feet are too sweaty in them and I can't seem to soak up the sweat...
How much longer will I depend on alcohol to numb the sweat glands, and make my forehead not so sweaty when I eat?
It is April 2nd 2013, and this is a very hard time for me. The transition from winter to spring, spring to summer. It is getting warmer, but not warm enough to turn on any AC in the house.
I am so glad I found this website and support group to reach out to people who understand what I am going through. Unless you have hyperhidrosis yourself, you will NEVER understand what it is like. People think, "everyone sweats, it is normal." What I ask is, "is drenched clothing, and dripping sweat normal when you are sitting or doing nothing at all?" "Is it normal to sweat when it is below zero and your clothes are ruined from armpit sweat?"
I am looking forward to talking with other hyperhidrosis sufferers and seeking other options for coping and treating my disease.

Hi. I can totally understand your frustration. Right now I\'m sweating like a squeezed sponge in 90F PA summer. I go to swimming pool locker room in sneakers because I can\'t wear sandals. I even stopping going out during the day because the temperature outside deteriorates my sweating. It\'s only late June, but I\'m already looking forward to the return of cold weather....:(
