suicide joke *trigger*
Okay, I here's the joke, but I switched it up to make suicide less appealing. Before it was like when you get the hospital bill from when you went to the psych ward and say, "Geez, maybe I shoulda gone through with it!" I actually said something along those lines to my mother, which wasn't smart. So, it's basically a funny, or what I considered funny last night, twist on a suicide note. I got an e-mail prayer request for someone who's grandmother died. And I got to thinking about the positive things we try to find to say about death to console the bereaved. What if I were to write an announcement/prayer request concerning my own death? So, here's a possible version. Beth has gone, or rather has decided to go, to be with the Lord. She abandons her 2 surviving parents and 7 siblings. We pray for comfort for her grieving family and friends as we are jealous that she's now with Christ. A memorial service will be held at xxx where we will remember all the things she could have done with her life. Following the service, professional counseling will be held in the Fellowship Hall along with coffee and refreshments.
