Success number 1
I left a long, loud line at a store shortly after I went in. My chest was pounding and it felt like I was getting punched repeatedly. I told my husband "I can't" and walked outside in the snow while he waited in line. I called my Dad and clearly communicated my need "Can I talk at you?" and told him that I listened to my body and took action and that that was good! Then, I told him something that made me feel stressful and asked him to email me where he and my Mom would be next week during Christmas so I knew where to call. Then I hung up. This WHOOOOOOOOLE thing was a positive experience because in the past, this very well could have gone badly awry in several different points. Tonight, I listened, responded, took care of myself, and was clear and short in my communication and it was effective!!!!!!!!! I can trust myself. And if I can keep these actions up, I can reach my goal of trusting life again.

Well done Essie! : ) Learning to notice when we aren\'t okay and actually look after ourselves... BIG steps... I\'m very proud of you! HUGS
Thank you so very much! Will try more of the same today. Wishing I didn\'t have a job.... it\'s a job in itself to take care of me. :)
we could swap... cos I\'m wishing I DID have a job... a job keeps me busy, the busier the better! Dang stoopid flight response to emotional flashback... I keep getting, over-achieving, and then imploding on the most awesome jobs... omg, the trail of chaos PTSD has wrought in my life, lol... Here\'s to a BETTER, wiser, calmer future, lol : )
Yes, a better calmer future! Don\'t worry, you are definitely wise. :) I will send you good vibes for job situation!
