Stupid people....
Good morning DS ladies! I hope everyone is having a good morning and that your journeys are going smoothly. As for me, the TWW is so slow but I'm trucking through little by little. Started doing my yoga since it's not strenuous and walking my fur babies. So I would like to vent about my boss since I'm sure ya'll can understand my frustration. So I work in advertising for a cable company so obviously we are really big on Halloween and we try to dress up around a cable show every year for example The Walking Dead or American Horror Story. WELL Friday we are all trying to figure out what our team will be and my boss (guy boss, actual like the guy and I told him a couple of times, not in detail, about what I'm going through since I have been taking time off here and there and don't want him to complan) says....wait for it............."Ya'll should dress up as 16 and pregnant..." OMFG....I was so PISSED, not to mention the other two girls on my team know what's going on with me and it was just AWKWARD. SO I got over it and lo and behold he says it again yesterday. I just kept working and he got no response from me. I literally wanted to cry at my desk (remember I'm hormonal!). I know he probably wasn't thinking about me at all but I have a major problem with people who don't think before they speak, I swear people's sensitivity meters are at an all time low these days.
Not to mention, I went to a couples shower on Sat and this preggo girl kept saying how her and her hubby got married in May and pregnant in July...woopy freaggin do right? LOL
Anyway, good news is that I have been cooking some awesome recipes since my gym nights are on a hiatus for now...cooking is very theraputic for me!
Also, I know you guys will understand this, I'm sure I'm not crazy but sometimes I look for little signs here and there. WELL, I got to work this morning and was loading up my internet to watch the news and a commercial popped on before the program came on. I kid you not it was a Johnson's lotion baby commercial and it was a woman and her baby and at the end it just said "Johnson's baby".....well my last name is Johnson so I cried right then and there.....yes...did I mention I'm hormonal? A part of me feels like that could be a sign no matter how silly that may sound.
Did I mention I got back on Facebook? Let's see how long that lasts...LOL..
I just want to say thank you for those of you who took the time to read this rambling vent story and I am so happy that I have each and every one of you in my life. I never take for granted the bonds I have formed on this site.

Ugh... I am sure your boss totally was not thinking, I mean he is a guy. But that is really insensitive either way. I look for signs in everything as well. I think that was a good sign for you! Good luck with FB, I just sign on knowing I may see something I do not want to see, and I just hide everything. I have even hidden people all together because all they talk about is their pregnancy. There is a group of us DS girls on FB, so we can stick together there too!

Yes I\'m sure he wasn\'t which is why I\'m cutting him some slack but man get a clue! Hmmm..I want to join the group too! Yeah tell me about seeimg things you don\'t want to see...my 45 year old cousin is expecting and she already has 5 kids....SMH......Thanks a bunch, I\'m trying to keep myself busy!
2WW is the worst - but it sounds like you are getting through it great with all the yummy meals, yoga and walks with your furbabies. I agree with LMWT, I\'m sure he wasn\'t thinking and not meaning to be dumb, but seriously, he should know better. Guys are just clueless sometimes.
I\'m still trying to hold onto not getting on FB, but I\'m sure it will just be a matter of time. I have a few friends/acquaintances that just got married and I\'m waiting for the \"we are pregnant\" messages soon.

Your boss is an AssHat and I\'m not as nice as the other girls and will not cut him any slack! (I\'m on day 12 of menopur shots so I might be a little hormonal as well :) But seriously, what an idiot!!

OMG. I completely agree that people\'s sensitivity meters are at an all time low. It blows my mind on a weekly basis. Other than having to listen to your d bag of a boss, it sounds like you are doing FAB during your tww!!! I\'m a big sign person, and I completely agree that the commercial is a sign. How many more days until you find out? So excited for you!!
@CaliCutie81, OMG I just laughed out loud at your comment! haahaha, tool bag is very fitting!@PolkaDotGirl, I think it\'s a sign too, you never know! I had my IUI last Tuesday so I have to wait until next Tuesday but I\'m contemplating if I should test early....
you need to clue your boss in on how insensitive he is being and if he still thinks its a good idea then you get the day off PAID! hopefully this is your BFP Cycle and you find out before hallloween :)
OMG where do I begin.....first, really with the 16 and pregnant halloween costumes!?!?! SO offensive. I am SMH and can\'t stop regarding your 45 year old cousin.....you know I\'m just a year younger.....WTF!?!?!? As for the baby shower, I soooo want to slap these morons who brag about how it \"only took one month\" to get pregnant or \"it took us so long, 3 whole months\" I have zero patience for that. I hope the baby commerical is a sign and you get your BFP soon....I can\'t wait to hear your update if you POAS or wait for your beta!!!!
I would be super pissed at the 16 and pregnant suggestions even though he is a guy and most guys do NOT think before they speak. I pray that the Baby Johnson sign is a sign you are preggo. I always look for signs too. I even thought once that the bird who laid eggs on my front porch the day of my IUI was a sign, lol. Hang in there!!
Your boss needs a good kick in the head! Especially if he knows even a little of your situation. If he mentions it again, I would definitely have a little chat with him.

Awe I love your Johnson\'s lotion baby commercial moment. As for a sign it\'s a personal thing but I call moments like that \"heart moments\" :0) I think your \"Johnson\'s baby\" is going to be gorgeous when that day happens because you and your hubby are one sharp looking couple. The 16 and P thing I can\'t even spell out because it makes me want to hurl. Your team needs to dress up as the housewives of Atlanta and put him in a dress & heels if he is so bent on everyone getting so far in touch with their feminine side. Ugh I HATE those awkward moments and your boss is a stupid d-bag for being so insensitive when he knows what you\'re going through. Side note, those shows make me sick...16 and Pregnant, Teen Mom, 19 Kids and Counting...
