Stuffing
Time to get serious about emptying the in-law house. A contract has been signed for the sale of the property with a March 1st closing date. It ain't over 'till its over, but. . . It is time. I spent last night here by myself and have spent the morning packing stuff which will go to the job site in northwest Texas. Mostly old, beat-up stuff going there. Not even the silver platter crowd carries literal silver platters to a job site. Hubs and sons will be along later today to decide which pieces go to the urban homestead. Hope their eyes don't get bigger than their available space.
So far as I can tell, I am still holding steady. The house doesn't feel quite so haunted in this go-round. Trying to focus on creating empty space. For now, it is just stuffus maximus. . . These folks had them some stuff collections. The good news is that the house is slated for demolition. Boom town money doesn't like old buildings (about 50 years) on their newest fashion zip codes. From our side of the closing contract, it means we can leave the stuff we don't want to go to the landfill with the rest of the house. I can live with that.
Keeping the steps small and the therapy tools handy. . .

Nice! Small steps and handy tools are a good way to go. That's great that you don't have to completely clear out the house. That is pretty cool actually. Good luck as the work progresses.
I like that plan... small steps and therapy tools. Good luck also!
