stuff, stuff, more stuff
so, things have been going a bit pear shaped lately. weird stuff. makes me want to hire someone from New Orleans to come up and rattle bones or a Native American to burn smudge sticks, chant, and bless the four corners. I know anyone reading this probably already knows about my back, and God knows I'm sick of talking and whining about it. Still hurts. 'Nuff said. But little stuff. For example, my fence fell over. The white board, Kentucky horse farm looking fence that separates my side yard from the neighbors' yard. My friend Kelly quickly assessed the damage and said, "Well all you'd really have to do as a stop gap is replace ONE landscape timber, but be sure and cement it in." I just looked at her with my back throbbing. Then, my answering machine started playing OUT the last messages left! I looked at it and saw that it would entail moving the couch out and bending/stooping, so I opted to turn it off, and now it occasionally will turn itself back ON! I cut my gum on a fried won-ton last night, got home to watch Idol, and I SWEAR my DVR stopped recording it after the envelope guy came up and Ryan Seacrest said, "The winner of American Idol, 2008 ISSSSSSSSSS...David____________!" I kid you not. Makes me really hinkey. I feel like that kid on Peanuts with the cloud of dust, or Eeyore. On the other hand, I'm really trying to get a better attitude and have a better outlook. I'm thinking positively and pragmatically. I see the surgeon Tues. June 3rd and will go from there. When (if?) I'm in a little better shape, I plan to start going thru and throwing/giving things away in anticipation of an upcoming DOWNSIZE and MOVE. Oddly enough, I heard my last house is coming back on the market. I know the neighborhood improved after I left (not BECAUSE I left) and I had the custom lap pool there put in (heaven). who knows??? The yard was nothing to tend to since the pool took up about a third of it, and no grass would grow out front! I know two people wanting my house, and it could mean I would have no mortgage and could POSSIBLY put a large down payment on an endless pool which is something I have always wanted but now think is essential. If someone could come up with a weightlessness suit or portable device, back pain sufferers would pay out the nose. My pool is such a blessing and the ONLY place I get TOTAL relief. My faith has taken a nose dive, and I know this is the time I need it most! I tend to get MAD at God when I need comforting. I hate I'm such a whiner. I'm making a conscious effort to count my blessings, and it seems to be helping. I made it 1-1/2 times around the walking track without pain last time AND saw a mating pair of scissor-tail flycatchers (birds) and my dog liked it, too. Ok, back says must go NOW!!! PS Thanks to you who continue to encourage, message, etc. It means a LOT!

Just noticed your post and am wondering if you ever tried \"inversion\". That is the exercise piece of equipment that allows us to place ourselves almost upside down. I\'ve had a bad back for years but can now manage the spasms. Saw the ad for this inversion thing. Taking all weight off the spine and its disks seems like it might be a huge help.
I guess, I know what you mean now.... you are being tested for something! I don\'t know what but sheeeees! As if the back pain isn\'t enough...
Swimming is awsome I love it too....You hang in there and get help with stuff and don\'t do anything you shouldn\'t be....:)
Oh bless your heart. You are in my prayers my friend.
ok, LAST night, my SPIRIT BALL fell down. It\'s been hanging in the same spot since I moved into my house four years ago. Nothing jarred it, it just fell. I don\'t really BELIEVE in spirit balls, but it did kind of creep me out, since my dog went to barking like the hounds of HELL. FOr those of you unfamiliar, spirit balls are pretty blown glass balls (about the size of big Christmas balls) that have holes in them. The myth is that any evil spirits in your house are mesmerized by the beauty of the ball, and then curiosity sends them nosing into the hole where they are trapped forever. I thought, Oh, great, there\'s so much evil, the ball got too heavy, then I thought, OMG, the fall probably sent them all scurrying back out into my house. Now just waiting on the next shoe to drop (oooooooeeeeeeeeeeeooo!!) LOL. (Not serious about all that stuff, although the thoughts did cross my seriously twisted mind.....)
Oh, Lord. I\'ve had periods of time where nothing seems to go right and even the ridiculous, little things start breaking down. An old friend used to say that we were wearing a \"cosmic kick me sign\" when that happened. You just have to ride it out. Nobody likes the idea of surgery, but I\'m glad you are moving ahead and at least finding out what your options are. I\'m curious - are you looking ahead to a downsize and a move because this thing with your back came up? I think it would be great if you could move into a house with a lap pool - hilarious if you actually ended up moving back into a place that had the right pool that you yourself built! Why not is what I say, at least you know the property and the area, and hey, if you liked it, why not? It\'s great that you are looking at how to best take care of your situation in the long term - like smaller digs and a POOL. Very important, that swimming, I\'m so glad that you are swimming and floating. Don\'t worry about whining - you are entitled to a little whining given what has happened. Indulge yourself a little - you\'ve had a bad turn of events here. Then move on. As for being angry with God, I understand it. But right now you need support from every quarter where you can muster it, including from the spiritual quarter. You will have more strength on your side if you feel that you are in right relationship with God. So I encourage you to work on this. Dealing with the sudden onset of a physical change for the worse is traumatic and difficult, so, again, you\'re entitled to some anger. Just don\'t let it take over, and work on getting past it as best you can. I\'m sending good thoughts your way, and I gotta tell you, I\'m so impressed with the way you are handling this. (((((BIG HUGS))))
The people I visited in northern CA had an experience a couple of months ago. A merkaba that was hanging about 15 feet off the floor fell and landed on a pillar candle below it. The candle was about 3 inches in diameter, about 12 inches tall, and burning. The merkaba imbedded into the top of the candle, the pair did not topple, and the candle kept burning. I saw it when I was there. The cord was still attached to the merkaba and to the ceiling. It was plenty strong enough to hold the merkaba, but had frayed about 3 inches down from the hook in the ceiling; no apparent reason for the fraying. Stuff comes in waves, carried. All we can do is ride them out and enjoy the null periods. Blessings to you, my friend.
Bless you carried, I see you getting your old house, what a hoot. Hang in there Dear Heart.
