STUCK IN REDNECK TOWN

    i'm conservative-enough, but in the rural PA town where I live I still have # strikes against me.

    I wear glasses---which in 21st century around lowlifes, even at age 64, is bad---I've known/met people over the decades who would never wear glasses, even though their vision is bad, as though they're still in elementary school making fun of kids wearing glasses.

    I like cats, care for homeless cats---lots of hillbillies hate cats.

    I bicycle, at age 64, with ordeal of having to leave my apt building to go by smokers who also live in my building, with hateful looks by smokers in their 60s and 70s, as though it's high school and all the cool kids smoke.

     Depressing time at Christmas from all this, with me  such an outsider and having to deal with crazy stuff from people who consider ME to be crazy.

     (And even small cities are death traps now days.  I am glad I have a place to stay, when available apts in small towns are almost impossible to find any more.)
