Struggling today...
I haven't slept for three nights now...the break into my house has really freaked me out!! I no longer feel safe in my own home...every little noise startles me! I am on edge all the time..I don't think they will be back but it makes me realize just how easily somebody can just walk into my place and go through my stuff. They didnt get anything but they took a part of me that I am struggling to get back!!! Damn them!!! To know that somebody went through all my dresser drawers, touched my stuff, invaded my privacy makes me feel so violated!!! I am alone through the evenings and most nights so it makes me feel really uneasy...I know in time these feelings will fade but for now I can't let it go....I guess it's just another reason why I need to get out of this house...so many bad memories...

Oh, I\'m so sorry that you went through this. How awful. You have to feel so violated by it. Just a few weeks ago this happened to one of my friends sons. Who ever it was actually pulled up to the back of the house with a TRUCK and took everything! Can you believe it! Even his photos! These things don\'t happen but once in a life time (if they do at all) I hope you find comfort in knowing that. Relax AND get a dog BIGGER then the one you have up on the screen now! How cute is he! Your friend.
oh, i\'m sorry, I didn\'t know. If it was posted i missed it. Still navigating this site so i;m sure i missed alot of postings, probably all of them.
There were times, and sometimes now, that i do get nervous being all alone, but i have a burglar alarm system. you might consider it. I got one while still in my other house cause i felt unsafe. I only had it for a couple of months, then i moved. I got it in this condo now. usually the monthly monitoring is not expensive but sometimes the installation might be costly, but all the companies seem to have specials. Maybe you should check it out and it might make you feel more secure.
be glad no one was hurt.
I\'m so sorry. I don\'t know if this is any comfort, but they do make very reasonably priced alarms that you can put in your windows and doors that make a god-awful noise if someone tries to break in. They are self contained so you don\'t pay a monthly fee to a monitoring company. Also if you prefer an alarm that makes a call, there are some that will dial your local police or sheriff directly bypassing the need for a monitoring service. Just check w/your local police to be sure they will cooperate. And you can get just the signs and stickers which are a deterrent as well. They won\'t know you don\'t have an alarm.
Hugs!!!!
(((((hugs)))))i\'m so sorry that happened. anytime you need to chat, i\'m a good listener. and usually on late if you need that. take care. love, Nita
I am so sorry this has happened to you. I was burgled some years ago and it is something that makes you nervous after. A burglar alarm is a good idea. I have one and it makes me feel secure.
