Struggling

I write in my journal almost every day... I check my messages and hugbook and try to respond. I'm so grateful for the feedback you my friends here at daily strength give me and I'm very hopeful that sometimes I help you too. I've written things very similar to this before. I don't intend to be repeating myself but at this moment these are the thoughts that are uppermost in my mind. Since I've admitted to any and all that I'm flawed... who among us isn't... and is it really a flaw... perhaps we are each the way we are to be able to provide a vast variety of supports to each other... I've told several friends that I have finally gone back to counseling... I"m not ashamed... but I'm not proud of it... I'm just still not handling things as well as I'd hoped... so like greatgranny I'm trying to create a new normal... Through counseling and education I've managed to hold myself together for several years... I always said I'd go if I needed to but still I hesitated... so if I should be ashamed of anything it is that I took so long to do what I have advocated for myself and others for so long...

Remember....... it\'s not that you needed to go back....... we ALL need to go back!
It\'s that you\'ve gone so long without really needing to go back until now. Because, once you\'ve been there, you are much better able to recognize the internal signal telling you it\'s time again. And you know what......
it\'s also ok to just need us for awhile without worrying if you\'re \"giving back\". Half of give and take is take. So why don\'t you just need us for a bit. Take what you need from us for a bit. Let us worry about getting you what YOU NEED. The rest of it will work itself out. Because that\'s what time and friends do. They work themselves out.
