Struggles

I was really hoping that Tyler was on the road to having drier nights.  As much as I try not to worry about his bedwetting, I cant help but want him to stop.  Over the last few months I have watched him struggle with his self esteem.  The effect that this problem has on his confidence is the worst thing.
He is a very gifted athlete and we have started to sign him up for camps to attend in hopes of being recruited. His bedwetting has taken the fun and excitement out of looking for schools.  He recently flipped out at me and said he cant go to the camps let alone live in a dorm room in college when he isnt dry at night.
I am so hurt for him.  I feel like his low self esteem regarding this problem is dictating his life.  As much as I try to encourage him that he can still do these things, I cant help but understand where he is coming from.  The fear, frustration and shame is just beating him down.  I am just feeling hopeless and I dont see an end in site.
To make things worse, he recently had an accident while staying at a friends house.  A group of his friends were there too but only the boy whose house it was knows about it.  The boy hasn't told any of his other friends but he was also less than supportive.  The boy told Tyler that he was just really "weirded out". This is one of Tyler's best friends so I know that Tyler is really hurt.
I am going to let him calm down and try to have another conversation about college and camps in a few weeks.  As of now he said he had said he wanted to live at home and go to community college.  This choice would be fine if this is what he wanted to do.  I know that he feels like going to a local school and living at home is his only option.
I am worried that he is near a depression.  He hasnt wanted to hang out with his friends since his friend found out a few weeks ago and has been spending alot of time alone in his room.  I am hoping that his friend hasnt told the other boys and that is why he has not been hanging around them.  I just hope my son gets through this bump in the road.  Both my husband and myself are very concerned about him. I am also near the end of my pregnancy and I know a new baby will bring even more craziness into our lives. I just hope Tyler finds a way to deal with this and he realizes in the long run all this doesnt matter.
