Young family safely back in their native southwest. They visited the Gamp of my Gammy (hubs) yesterday and he complimented me on how relaxed the grandkids looked after their big adventure. Sis and I had a memorable time hitting them with the "Double Gammy" while the parental units played tourist.
As of last evening, Hubs was planning to admit ES to yet another rehab program this morning. I am trapped between my on-going frustration and my desire to be supportive on that one. I am mostly relieved to be 1800 physical miles away from the re-drama. Letting go and letting God on that one. Prayers in progress.
Meanwhile, I have painting to do. Second room in most beloved Sis's northeastern house prepped and ready for painting. The resident geezers seem genuinely appreciative of my labor and I do love being able to point with my literal finger and say, "THAT's what I did today." Gonna start with the ceiling. The kitchen ceiling got 3 coats and still needs another.

painting can be so therapeutic....amazing how my whole perspective changed...for the better when the rooms in my house after nearly 20 years of off white were covered in wonderful color...silly...the colors I chose were because of their names...yes I did like the color...the name was cool too!

Don't know if you ever read in a journal, my Dear Brother was a heroin addict...I can remember the insanity, him nearly beyond help, yellow with jaundice, being shipped off to a place called RAP in Washington DC...they saved his life...he did run away once and came home, he was kicked out and returned...they shaved his head as punishment...He was an amazing man~~I miss him terribly...
