stressful!!!
is anyone else noticing that these are tough times? i have to tell you....it seems like everyone i know is depressed lately. the economy is shit, everyone just seems worried, the election is making everyone irritable and partisan...it seems like 2008 is shaping up to be a bummer of a year for many folks. as for me, it's a very mixed year. on the one hand, my family is happy and healthy, and i've got good friends who are the same. at face value, life is good. but i've also got deep stresses - mostly with work and money - that are certainly taking their toll. a few weeks ago i had chest pains - which i know are completely related to stress - as i was going through a particular tough time. and it reminded me that all of this stress is very deterimental and unhealthy. i hope we can all collectively turn a corner soon. this cloud needs to blow away. on a positive note, thanks in part to the BITE NO MORE, i'm now making progress on my nails. the hard part isn't growing em long...it's keeping em there. i know that many of my problems are less significant than those that you all are going through...it's only in my hour of need that i seem to remember that there are those out there who are less fortunate, and it makes me want to reach out and help.

Hope the weather changes and things get better for you. I really do. All I can say is I know you feel. Stay focused and just know things will get better amigo.
Hi There, Try Not to worry so much. They say 90% of the things we worry about never even happen. Also be proactive. If something bothers you, do something about it. I know it\'s easier said than done. My biggest problem is procrastination but I find it\'s helpful to create a list of things I need to do then work on that list. A week from then you\'ll feel a weight has been lifted. Good luck and try to stay positive. This year might end up shaping up. We can only hope. Susan
Hi! Yes I know what you mean. I have been in this deep depression for 6 months now, but you have to
keep looking for that light at the end of the tunnel.
Hope things start looking up for you real soon!

I totally agree on everything, especially the money part, I\'m the type who is always calculating in my mind, 24/7 I wish I wasn\'t made like such.
Money is always, always on my mind.
The say money isn\'t everything, but it does help a whole lot, wouldn\'t you say? lol
Congrats on the nail bitting issue, I\'m good on that one.
As for the stressing issue, well I had started to get panic attacks, or should I say anxiety attacks, wow scary stuff.
I\'m much better since I\'ve uped my paxil to 20mgs instead of 10, much better.
All we can do really is, live One day at the time.

One day at the time.
Definitely not just you. It\'s been a rough time for me as well and you mentioned some of the reasons why. It really does seem like people are getting more depressed now. We all just have to stay strong.
Hope you get feeling better soon, Doug; know it has been a tough year and quite stressful.
Will share with you that I could say this year has been most difficult ~ mom lost sight in 1 eye, had surgery for her right carotid (PVD which caused the clot leading to her blindness), dad died, had surgery, laid off, insurance denied surgery, owe lots of money and trying to live on unemployment ...
Inspite of this, am managing to stay bright and cheerful ... why? ... the alternative is to be unhappy and stressed and there is no upside.
I continue to count my blessings every single day ... am healthy, my family is well, I still have my home and if I lose it, I will be in the company of many others and I will survive. As for money, I can\'t take it with me; I can always do with less because it is more than most of the rest of the world has.
Hate to hear of the chest pain, stress is powerful and I do sincerely wish your burdens ease. Until then, grab your wife and the kiddies and go for a walk or a run or do some jumping jacks .. it relieves the stress and builds powerful memories for everyone. You see, even if a person comes to a point where they down-size, children only care that they have their parents and food and shelter.
Take care my friend .. you\'re in the company of so many caring souls who are grateful for your efforts.
Hugs.. Ranae
I hope you do feel better. I know depression can be hard. I\'ve been dealing with it for a long time.
I hope you can feel relaxed soon
